SEO is not a mystical science only to be comprehended by the 21st-century equivalents of Albert Einstein, the vast majority of us with a simple bit of explanation and practice can do much of the work of SEO on our own.
In my opinion four of those basic skills are:
- Keyword research
- On page optimization
In response to those people, here are four simple suggestions on how to get started with SEO:
1) Start with keyword research-
What is a keyword?
Keywords are words or short phrases that you target in order to get web traffic from Google or other online sources. – Blog Tyrant
If you’re not familiar with what a keyword is, it’s basically any word or set of words a person types into Google to find something. For example, if I was sick with a cold, a keyword term I might put into google search is, “cough medicine” what Google then does is look for content on the web that best matches my search criteria.
The best way to discover the right keywords to use is to research your customer’s language, problems and buying habits. Spending some quality time understanding your customers will pay off handsomely in the long run . After you have collected a list of words it is time to test them against reality and see how much potential traffic they can get.
There are many tools that can help you to do keyword planning some of the better ones are Google trends , Keyword planner, and SEM Rush. These tools can answer the important questions about your keywords , namely, “How many people are searching for this?” “How competitive is this keyword?” and “How are the leaders using the keyword in their content?”
While opinions vary on what
2) Begin optimizing- By optimizing I mean changing how things are labeled and worded on your pages to fit in with the main keywords your trying to rank for. Start with the descriptions first, then optimize the photos by changing their names and descriptions.
3) Create supporting content- Supporting content are things like a blog or a gallery of photos that are related to what you are trying to rank for.If you already have a blog, it would be a good idea to go back through and making sure that the photos are labeled and the articles are written around strong keywords. If you haven’t yet started a blog, it’s time to make one, they can make a huge difference.
4) Get tons of high-quality backlinks! Google places a lot weight and trust on the sources that link back to your site (plus the more links you have from other sites the more traffic you are likely to get naturally.)

Conclusion: What I’ve suggested in this blog post takes some time to do and is tedious, but it will definitely be worth it to do it thoroughly. SEO is very important because Google rewards those who play their game, plus you’ll show up in relevant places and it really does make your site easier to find for the people looking for your product.
