What BigQuery does

Compute can use on-demand pricing based on data processed or capacity pricing based on allocated compute. Storage is priced separately; efficient queries help control resource use.
Why marketers use it
Google Analytics 4 can export its raw event data to BigQuery. That gives you unsampled, event-level data that the standard reports can't show.
You can also load ad platform data and CRM data into the same warehouse. Then you can build reports that join ad cost to leads, revenue, and customer value.
What you need to get started
You need a Google Cloud project and someone comfortable with SQL. BigQuery Sandbox can be used without a billing account, including the daily GA4 export, but tables in the Sandbox are deleted after 60 days and some features, such as streaming export, need billing. Enable billing before you rely on the data long term, and set access permissions carefully.
